depressing. seriously depressing.

this calls for a blog hiatus. so long folks. till we meet again on the 6th of may.

Dearest Daddy drove me back and somehow we were talking about Honours in NUS and NTU then suddenly he popped the question, “So can you do Honours?”

And I was literally speechless. Should describe this feeling as being overwhelmed with guilt. Was just browsing through my laptop desktop as well, and I saw this video that was unfamiliar so I opened it and realised that it was a birthday video from hall one year ago when I just moved in. I actually looked slim in that video compared to now lah, fuck I think I really gained weight from then. Suddenly all the late night bingings come flashing by. Now I don’t even dare to weigh myself now!

The horrors. Come on. Perseverance.

Oh, now I remember that my entire week has gone within a flash! Because it has been the most haps week. Command, C-Block culure night and hanging out with the fwocers till wee hours of the morning On monday, we celebrated Kepkee’s birthday which was ultra damn fun and funny! Then I was like, “hmmm nevermind lah still the start of the week so can spend more quality time with the dear ones” So we chilled out in Andy’s room till about 6am in the morning and wanted to eat breakfast together but we were all too damn tired :\ I wanted to wake up and study after taking a nap but I couldn’t get to sleep because I just finished showering so I decided to test my endurance and continued mugging after eating breakfast. Breakfast consumption was super body revitalising because of the damn spicy noodles from the dining hall. But after breakfast, everything that happened was just a slur. Nothing I read went into my brain. The only thing I remembered was being so damn tired at 9plus that I head for the sack setting my alarm at 11 so I could do more work. But the next thing I knew, I lied awake in my bed feeling exceptionally peaceful. I dreaded the checking of my alarm clock but I had to, and I saw the moment of truth. It was 6pm. I had unintentionally slept through my 3-6pm lessons! Tell me, who actually oversleeps for a 3pm class?? Madness. One day wasted. So I dragged my feet to baby’s room to whine and we had to rush down for Command dinner which was erm CRAP? Except for the mudpie at the end. For once I was actually impressed by the dessert that the hall caterer could prepared then it was announced that it was made by Huixian and Dennis. Hur I knew it. But thanks to the two wonderful seniors that saved the dinner! Next it was Command aka Major Cryfest. It was awesome as usual with a lot of sick videos and cross dressing but nonetheless still enjoyable to watch! I know I sound like such a crybaby but I was practically tearing throughout the entire Command since the showing of the notes from the A Block Seniors. I guess it is probably because I could relate to them? Like whenever I feel shitty from school and ask God why am I doing this nonsense to myself, these little things actually make me understand and feel better. I do hall stuffs because I enjoy doing them and not because of the damn points! I do hall things because of the people that I have became so close to and learn to love as family. So I totally didn’t hesitate spending more time even though I had like tonnes of shit to do this week. I know I will end up suffering in the end but I really don’t mind. It is also the reason why I decided to go for C Block Culture Night  today. I know I have been so critical of X for being so insistent on having  Culture Night because the Block Comm were already too busy beyond words and being an ex block commer, I know how too many things can tire you down and you will need all the energy you have remaining for mugging and for your own personal time! But I was glad it happened in the end anyway because it was great! Seeing everyone perform and interacting as a block! I just love soaking in this sort of atmospheres C Block is really love. The seniors were the funniest shit ever! Hahaha love the fyfs to the max lah Been feeling relatively emo recently because the FYFs are gonna go soon and it is really damn sad. I think my batch of freshies are especially close to this batch of seniors because we have gone through so much together and there will always been the fond and nonsensical memories to remember. I don’t want to imagine how things will be like when they are gone? I am not exactly close to a lot of the freshies in the block this year and I think I only have myself to blame :\ I guess when people grow older, their priorities change. I just want to focus more on studies this year and perhaps it’s also because I took it for granted that the seniors will always be here and so I will only need them for the rest of my life. I don’t know.

In short, though my week flew by in a flash. I think it was a pretty meaningful and enjoyable one!

And what’s up with this obsession with X! I don’t even know him and I merely find him cute but yet, the littlest thing affected me What’s not fated is not fated okay? Pretty boys don’t talk to crapp girls. Not like your tests which are due on Thursday, Saturday and Monday. If you don’t make it, you’ll break. THIS IS INSANE. Dear God, I need focus.

Boobie just told me how she lost weight and some how it hurt. I have no idea why because I’m like always damn sensitive to this sorta weight issues. I just miss being skinny but yet, I have no discipline to go back to how I was before. It is very frustrating and anyone who probes my limit will probably get eff-ed at.

Anywayy when Valsie was driving me home just now, we were freaking stopped at a road block! Well technically half way through a road block because the bimbotic Valsie didn’t know she had to stop and I was  busy sms-ing about Dramafest in the middle of the night [yes yes]. The police officer sorta got quite pissed off because we didn’t stop at the road block and he made  Valsie park at the side of the road and took down our IC numbers. Like wth? But there was another car stopped in front of us as well which consisted of a bunch of teenagers about our age and they were looking rather flustered and lost at what was happening as well. So since the police officers are being paid with money that our parents pay for taxes every year and since I didn’t want to be such a pushover when Valerie and myself evidently did not do anything wrong and were just being the usual blur selfs, I decided to question the policeman then – who by the way didn’t look like he was very much older than us.

Policeman: Please kindly hand your IC and driving licence to my colleague please

Me: Oh okay. Anyway what is this about? Why is our car being made to stop at the side of the road?

Policeman: Because this is a roadblock and your car didn’t stop before the sign.

Me: (turns around and see what seemed like 8 cars drive past without being made to stop [which "coincidentally" had adult drivers]. also managed to notice another officer snooping around valsie’s car with a torch light) *starts to wonder to self if the police took the failure to stop at the roadblock as suspicion that valerie and myself were trying to hide something*

Some details I should censor and the tramautizing experience ended with the officers taking down Valerie and my IC numbers. Judging from the specific details stated above, Valerie and myself should not be fined because the failure to stop at the roadblock was unintentional. Like seriously? My heart was in my mouth when it happened lah. WTH. Hopefully nothing shitty happens

Anyway what a way to end a night after such an eventful and exciting evening? It was the annual Dance Uncensored! My favourite event after Dramafest of course, I think. Hahaha watching the dancers do their thing always makes me feel like dancing but of course the reality always come back at me when I remember how i got….ohhh nevermind the bad memories! Sooo DU was fantastic as usual and Valerie and myself actually managed to get pretty decent seats after shamelessly blending in with the A Blockers! Hahaha :b KR’s items this year were all super awesome lah! All the KR dancers were fantastic as usual especially Baby and BIMBCHUN :b The other halls weren’t too bad as well like Raffles Hall? Their performances were pretty good though KR’s one was still the best! Temasek Hall had this item called Anaesthesia which was damn nice as well The dancers were all super synchronised and good! Hahaha, two of my friends were performing in that item! Usually I am the sort that would appreciate hiphop dancers more because I kinda like R&B and clubbing music and all but surprisingly this year, I seem to enjoy the contemporary items so much more! Like there was this item put up by KR that particularly left an impression, it was called Treasure, a contempt item which was choreographed by Xiao Yuan me thinks. The dance started with Weijie being the loving and ever so patient father who was trying to offer his son, Weeping who was so engrossed in work that it seemed as though nothing else in the world mattered some soup. Then during the final attempt to offer his irritated son the soup, he got pushed away. That frame was seriously damn saddening to see and everyone in the theatre had to break out laughing but I started crying. Forever so emo, I know. But it was really sad. Maybe because I feel like I could relate to it? Like how after a whole week of work take its toll on me and gets to my mood such that I will be too tired to do anything else except to spend personal time with myself. I would go home because I miss seeing my family so much but yet, whenever they ask too much questions out of concern or just nag at me for my own good, I would lose my temper and patience with them and act like a total bitch. It is just so hard to imagine that with 2 years of my university life, I actually spent more time with my hall mates than with my family members who are actually the ones that are going to be there for me forever. Those who will always welcome me home with open arms at the end of the day when I get hurt outside and those who I know will never break my heart. In addition, it also made me want to appreciate my good friends more. Those who have always been there whenever I suffer from a lousy one sided relationship, when things don’t go well in my life, those that I know will always listen regardless of whatever I tell them and not judge. Funny how a dance can evoke so much emotions and thoughts but I was sobbing throughout the entire dance. I must and I will learn to appreciate people that I love more and do them proud. People who take me for granted would be and shall be forgotten about. Think I am being pretty good at that k enough of the boring emo talks. Yup so after the wonderful dance performances, we went outside and camwhored as usual and gave the dancers all big hugs! I don’t know why but when I saw Dismas, I was like so damn proud of him la. Hahaha hopefully Dramafest will be able to create good responses as well To be honest, I felt kinda shock and paiseh that they advertised about Dramafest after DU. Valerie was like beside me trying to cheer but I just wanted to hide my face for some unknown reason. Hahah don’t want to attract attention but I am glad that they did, hope to see more people on Tuesday :b Anyway about attracting attention, there was some unwanted attention during the dance performance. Like last night I went to find bimbchun to wish her luck and told her that I would scream for her!! Then she asked if she cannot hear me scream, how? So I said that she would definitely be able to hear me scream! Somehow or another, I didn’t manage to scream the first few times because the music was already playing and I don’t want to disrupt the performance! Then before I realised, it was already her last performance! ARGHH time is running out so I screamed before the music started and when everywhere else is silent. And someone said,”That sounds like Joyce” and shouted “Go Joyce” which evoked damn lot of laughter! LESTERR I KNOW ITS YOU!!! hahahahahah damn paiseh please and I immediately slided down my chair lah! HAHAHAHAH but I glad I did scream! YAY

Was supposed to visit Wayne at Ice Cream Chef but we didn’t managed to make it on time because I tubbishly thought it was at east coast when it was near Siglap!! Hahaha super off I know :p But was glad we met Wayne! HAHAHA he has turned into some girl crazy dude!! And it was a night of juicy gossips and scandals! Wayne, you must meet us more! hehhh D

Haven’t really been consistent with my work recently because I have been reaching my room like in the wee hours of the morning after rehearsals! But I am pretty glad that I have managed to score above average for a few of my tests! Cannot take it for granted tho! Will chiong after Dramafest is over but for now, I shall just savour the moment! Of having rehearsals everyday and the feeling of planning something big scale! Think I have mentioned it before but I really never pictured myself being so involved in Drama! Hahaha Suffian is just the best director ever and Xun and Amelia are the best people to act with. Personally I think I have grown pretty much as an actress? Like I am not as stiff anymore and I am actually more into my character though I still have a long way to go! Hopefully we will do well on Tuesday I just want everyone to enjoy the show which will make all the hardwork that we have put in worth it! Have been distracted by smses about Dramafest during lectures with things like not being able to receive the postcards which was all a miscommunication error. Damn stupid, like the common belief, always do without the middle man. Think it’s probably because I am such a perfectionist that I want to do everything myself and I didn’t really delegate my workload. But I am glad everything is progressing well and we’re all just waiting for the show! Come for Dramafest people!!
